Return to SportReturn to SportDetermining when an individual can be cleared to full activity after knee surgery can be a difficult decision. We have developed a comprehensive, evidence-based, battery of tests to give you, and your surgeon, a better understanding of when you can safely return to everything Steamboat has to offer. This test will take 45 minutes and includes: Isokinetic Dynamometer Strength Testing This test is the gold standard for assessing strength after knee surgery. Video Analysis Video is used to determine if you demonstrate biomechanical faults during functional movements. Functional Movement Analysis A battery of running, jumping, and hop tests will determine if your movement patterns will likely allow you to return to full activity safely. These tests cover a wide variety of sport-specific movements, but can also be specifically paired to your sport. |
